Eileen, Thanks Sweety. I've been in therapy for AGES. I have papers to prove I'm kind of nuts. Does that mean I have a pedigree?

I think being in therapy means we're smart enough to know we're nuts!

Hi Eileen & OFF Family, Sorry you've been stressed out the last couple of days, hope it all falls into place today! My life has been a whirlwind of activity this week and thus I have not had too much time for posting, just a drop in here and there and today I have the gym, followed by a hairdresser's appointment and then it's home to finish packing my suitcase and off to pick up my DIL's Mom for our trip to visit our children and grandchildren in Germany!  I'm thrilled and excited about visiting them. I'll try to check in here periodically, I wish you all well and you are always in my prayers and positive thoughts! Hugs, Laureen

Good morning Eileen and Friends!  Eileen, sorry about your horrid day, HUGS dear sister. I had the grocery shopping trip from hell yesterday.  A locally owned chain has really good prices, fresh produce, and since they opened near my house several months ago, the employees have been absolutely wonderful, helpful, friendly...  The honeymoon is over.  Their add had several items 10 for $10.00.  Of course they've run these type adds before and you never had to buy 10 of anything.  After all, who needs 10 lbs of apples or peaches, or 10 bunches of broccoli, or 10 bottles of worchestershire sauce?  So, I pick out a few apples, peaches, some catfish, get some ham and cheese from the deli, and two bags of brussel sprouts, and go to the checkout.  The apples ring up $1.49 lb, the peaches $2.29, and the brussel sprouts $2.79 per bag.  I told the cashier those were $1.00 items.  He was determined I had to purchase 10 lbs or 10 bags of each.  Finally the supervisor came and set him straight.  He failed to bag almost half my groceries.  After paying, he handed my receipt and started ringing up the next customer.  I had to ask for my items.  So, I get home, unpack everything and put it away.  Look for the catfish to start dinner, and NO CATFISH.  Oh no, did I leave it in the trunk - YUCK.  Nope.  I called the store and no answer.  They will be getting a call shortly!  If I'm not banned from that grocery, we'll have catfish for dinner hopefully!  Debbie

"On the road again!" That's my theme song I believe. Good Morning Eileen and Everyone, I haven't hardly caught my breath from the cruise.

Looks like the house is sold. The FHA appraisal came through fine. I was losing sleep worrying that we would be homeless. We have to be out of the house June 27th and this area has a 90% occupancy rate in rentals. Not many want to rent to someone for 3-4 months with a pet.

It was really looking bleak. Even at almost $1000.00 a month nothing was available until early in July. Yesterday found a nice 2 bedroom, 1 bath (!!!!) (Mike spends hours in  there "reading") for $675.00. Still sounds like a lot.

We have been payment free for about 10 years and that's about what our house payment was.  Put a deposit down so I feel better leaving today.

Headed over to accompany Erin and the twins (and Lucy) on a little road trip. Seattle for the weekend and then over her for the week. Can't wait to show them off to everyone here. I'm getting really good at throwing a minimum amount into a bag and going.

You all have a good week. I'll try to check in. Laureen, have a wonderful trip! Eileen, hope today is better (It has to be right?) Hugs to all of you. . .

I was up close to midnite last nite because I couldn't sleep.....seems like at least once a week I can't shut my head off and lay awake for hours -- stupid, I know! So I take a couple tylenol PM and get up for a while, then I go back to bed and most always fall asleep. Makes for a short nite, as I usually get up at 6 a.m.

It is just so terribly hot and humid here in southwestern lower Michigan today....supposed to get near 90 deg.
Broke down and turned my a/c on yesterday, but have the t-stat set at 75 and it's very comfortable in the house for me. We are expecting more storms possibly tonite and over the weekend. Summer is here with a vengence.

I'm alone today at work - co-worker takes Fridays off a lot. Her schedule is very flexible. So I have my boom box on with nice music playing. At noon I am meeting my sister, two cousins and an Aunt for a birthday lunch at the Golden Buddha chinese restaurant.....they have the best egg rolls I have ever had.....YUM! I'll probably get shrimp chop suey w/o MSG. and hold the rice.

Have one piece of Mexican chicken left to finish up. It was so good, but having eaten it all week, I am ready for something else. Bought chicken legs at the local store for 59 cents/lb. - got two big packages for a little over $4 and divided them up and most went into the freezer. Kept a few out for this weekend -- BBQ sounds good!

I was pressed for time this morning as I had to stop at my church and leave two containers of deviled eggs for a funeral luncheon today, so I rode my recumbent bike instead of going to the pool.....got in 32 min. and 4.6 miles and actually got my heart rate up to 147! I was sweating when I got done.

Can anyone tell me the secret for not craving bad carbs???
I sure need to get my head on straight and wean off them. I'm sure that's why my wt loss has slowed way down.

Better get back to work.....excited about the GTG at Frankenmuth in Oct. Anyone want to be my roomie???

Have a great Friday all. Wonder how Kathikins is doing today?

Pat
